Are You A Dreamer?

Follow Your Heart's Desire...

How often do we here these words "Follow your dream?" I have heard it said that dreams, passion, desires... are the fuel that move us through life and, in fact, give life value and purpose.

How do your dreams affect your living? What dream do you follow? Have you captured your passion? Have you ever sold your dream for practical living?

  1. Oh goodness when I was a little girl I daced around and sang on my parents big bed and dressed up in a Halloween costume. Today I'm a registered nurse, far from the child hood drean of being a singer, so if we are all relaistic about our day to day life I believe most of us would have to say we gave up a dream from pratical living. However, for me nursing puts food on the table and keeps the roof over my head, and I'm sure that I would be hungry and homeless if I depended on my singing ability. :)

As for the realist part of this comment, I am thankful that my from the time my second child was born I wanted to be a nurse, and I accomplished this.

  2. Curiously enough. I've been given a present, a book called * Never Give Up Your Dreams* by Augusto Cury. Basically based on the idea that witout dreams our lives lose sense... If our dreams are limited our goals will be so as well.

    Great post and pic

Thanks for your comment o my blog ;)

  5. Dreams fuel my life. My life has been a series of allowing my dreams to take hold and then setting goals to achieve those dreams. I only lose faith on moments or days when I forget where the immediate is going. To remember the dream, to remember the possibilities, to embrace the opportunities that come from having faith in knowing the power that dreams provide...oh that's the good stuff, no the best stuff in life. Dreams should be what pull us through, screaming at the top of our lungs with glee, certain that once we arrive at the dream, another will appear, even larger on the horizon and tempt us to take off again on a great adventure. I can not recall anytime in my life that I wasn't following a path to a dream, or living a dream I'd achieved...it is a powerful way to approach the world and every day. I only hope my life is a testimony to how I've approached and that others see what can happen if you take that step into the unknown and have faith that you'll find your way there, one step at a time.
