even though
our hands have never touched
fingers playing gentle games
even though
our eyes have never gazed
into crystal hues of wanting
even though
our lips have never met
creating passages for lusting
even though
our breath has never mixed
making whispers in the early dawn
even so
i know you
Kim, when you write poetry, it's like magic is happening... words dancing on paper. It's magnificent, this piece. It's filled with the mysteries that we never want uncovered... I loved it!

Nevine - thank you so much. the dance between artist and muse is a powerful one. filled with longing and possibility.
ReplyDeleteThank you for expressing this experience so succinctly and movingly. So real, so true!
ReplyDeleteThanks for beautiful words and graceful delivery. It is in the wanting and the mind that we create desire. The denial of abject fulfillment only causes us to dance closer to the mental flames, deepening our attachment, enriching the story. Without the ongoing mental foreplay in relationships, the reality of meeting, building, and connecting is never as intense. :) Thank you for the reminder of the power of anticipation and desire.
ReplyDeleteHow can that be? Is that impossible love so real? If they've never met how can they..?
ReplyDeleteOh yes they can, and it is more intense and more passionate than any other love , because you create your lover at your wish, in your dream...
And...It must be, for you state it so beautifully!
I love your poems
{even though...am not in your bloggers list ;)}
You are in mine from today BTW!
