Quote It

a statement worth pondering...

All things that are,
Are with more spirit chased than enjoy'd.
How like a younker or a prodigal
The scarfed bark puts from her native bay,
Hugg'd and embraced by the strumpet wind!
How like the prodigal doth she return,
With over-weather'd ribs and ragged sails,
Lean, rent, and beggar'd by the strumpet wind!

-William Shakespeare,
The Merchant of Venice

  2. And though we are "lean, rent, and beggar'd" like those wayfaring ships, we have learned!

As an aside, and in response to your question about the rss feed, I don't think it's because of the google follow, because I know I'm in there, and you're appearing in my list. I just don't get the feeds for your new posts, and I tried to link through the rss feed "grab" button on the right, but that's still not working. I suppose I'll just be checking in on a regular basis, then...

  3. Nevine - thanks for your endurance.

The RSS grab just generates a feed URL that needs to be manually entered into your reader of choice. I know there is a better way to offer this, but I just haven't gotten to it...
