6 of One...

I have been tagged so that I may embrace blogging self-centeredness and force the same on others. I will enjoy this. Thank you bellamocha for the tag, and now on to the task.

6 unspectacular quirks of mine

1. Locks – I think locks should be locked and latches latched so I do both regularly (obsessively?).
2. Poetry – when I try to describe my thoughts, ideas, or concepts they naturally come out in poetic images and expressions. It is as natural for me as water cascading over mossen stones... heh.
3. Trilogy – I tend to think of three examples and categories for everything. So doing this list of 6 is like doing it twice as far as I’m concerned.
4. Tall sitting – I am average height (5’7” – ok I’m short) but when I am sitting I tend to be the same height as much taller people. This means my legs are short and the rest of me is tall.
5. Questions – I love asking questions, especially when it is in response to a question. My colleagues and family find this habit aggravating. I like it – the habit and their aggravation.
6. Attitude – I am courageously committed to the belief that my attitude does in fact decide my life’s path. It isn't that I don’t sometimes feel sad, negative, and disparate – and I believe it is my responsibility to manage my outlook and that my success is directly proportional to how well I do just that.

Taggage – I tag Dena, Monica, Paige, Mr. Althouse, Addict and Simonne.

Here are the rules from Bellamocha:

  1. Being a compulsive 'rule follower' (sometimes), I had to say "hi" :)
I'm still trying to place the place and it's driving me a bit crazy... breaking down and asking in an e-mail just seems too easy, so I'm going to poke around over here for a while and try to figure it out... but I'm 90% sure I've got it from the writing!
Will get back to the tag in a few days.

  2. Nice of Michele to send me again to your lovely site.

I am a child therapist, so I spend a lot of time answering questions with questions as well. Drives people crazy sometimes, but you find out a lot of useful information that way. Your background as a pastor and actor (both more similar to the profession of therapist than many would think) are maybe related to that quirk of yours? Just a guess.

Glad to visit a second time.

  3. Lot of freakin' work but okay, I'm in! Will try to get to it tomorrow. But only 6 quirks? How will I know which ones to choose...???

  4. I love #6- there is so much truth in that and yet it's something that some refuse to believe, whilst others, like me, need reminding of occasionally!

And the trilogy one- what a fascinating quirk! I shall look for patterns of 3 in your writing, they are probably there somewhere. I'm with you on the questions though....I never get tired of asking questions and often give on in reply to one that I don't want to answer yet.
I'm so glad you did this- six things can be quite revealing!! Thank you! :)

  6. These are some pretty interesting quirks! Love that number six! I never do these things, so tagging me may come to naught, but then, I do like to prove myself wrong, so you never know...!
Great blog by the way :)

  7. Ditto on the Locks and Latches, and when I can't lock up my 8’ fiberglass step ladder because I don't have a permanent anchor in my brick wall, I make it look like it’s locked even when it’s not. I use several combination locks at my lake house, but I've forgotten the combination to #4, anyone have a reliable hack for a Master combination lock?

Asking questions is fun, but if I’m honest, I have a hard time getting my “questions asked” to “questions answered” ratio above 0.50, and so I’ll ask, “What’s the best question you’ve been asked? What about the best question you’ve asked?

  8. Done! I can't believe how much damn work that was, my god. I like yours better! *laughs* The best part is that I already know about some of them.

I'm seriously in love with your rules on the sidebar there ;-)
