Top Holiday Memories - Episode 4

Then there was the time that without any provocation and no history of misbehavior, Eleanor the Siamese cat leaped from the ground into the Christmas tree and sent it crashing to the floor. My in-laws, who housed the cat, subsequently tied the tree to the door hinge with twine ever year – even after Eleanor died.

  1. That's funny, like right out of a movie. We don't use real trees anymore because the cats eat the tree limbs and then vomit them up all over the carpet...not very Christmas-y festive, so we had to switch to artificial. My one fat orange Persian cat, Sammi, (remember him?) would climb up into the middle of the Christmas tree, shaking all the ornaments off the limbs (and breaking them), then the tree would come crashing down. I wonder why dogs aren't so disastrous when it comes to trees. Oh well, artificial it is! Thanks for sharing!
